Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon satsuma zest (approx. 1 satsuma)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tablespoon satsuma juice
  • 1 teaspoon satsuma zest (approx. ΒΌ of a satsuma)
Directions:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat donut pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
    2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and cinnamon.
    3. In another bowl, whisk together sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, vegetable oil, and buttermilk.
    4. Add wet mixture to dry flour mixture. Stir to combine until there are no longer dry streaks of flour.
    5. Fill molds about 3/4 full of batter. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the donuts have puffed up. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 2 minutes before inverting and unmolding.
    6. Allow donuts to cool to room temperature on a wire rack before glazing.
    7. Whisk together powdered sugar, satsuma zest, satsuma juice, and heavy cream. Adjust thickness by adding additional heavy cream, 1 teaspoon at a time. Dip cooled donuts into glaze.
